Hall of Fame: The Inaugural Class

Before there were rankings, there were the people who showed up. The first names on the wall.

A Hall of Fame is not about who won the most. It’s about who built the thing. And so the inaugural class of the Poker In The Wood Hall of Fame honors the founding generation — the four who turned a Friday night into a twenty-year institution.

The first class

  1. JD — Founder, Commissioner, Historian. The keeper of the records and the reason there are records at all.
  2. Bish — Founder. The original action player and the league’s beating, fearless heart.
  3. Billy — Founder. The storyteller. Half of league canon is technically a Billy quote.
  4. Javier — Founding-era. The old-school standard-bearer; the table’s never complete without him.

You don’t get into this Hall for a good night. You get in for two decades of good nights.

Future classes will honor the champions, the legends, and the unforgettable characters who followed. Read how it all began in our league history.
