Triple Stack Chaos: Chance Wins, Marcel Somehow Leaves With 54
Triple Stack 3 converted a friendly Friday poker game into an accounting emergency, as every normal tournament point—and every bounty—was tripled until traditional achievement became merely one department in a much larger points-extraction business.
Everything Was Worth Triple, Including the Regret
On Friday, August 7, 2026, Poker In The Wood held Triple Stack 3. All normal tournament scoring was tripled. The usual five-point bounties were also tripled to 15 points each, because apparently the league looked at ordinary arithmetic and decided it needed weapons.
By the second orbit, players were no longer discussing cards. They were conducting hostile audits, tracing bounty ownership, and asking whether one human being could be treated as a transferable financial instrument.
Chance Wins the Whole Damn Tournament
Chance did poker the old-fashioned way: he outlasted everybody and won the actual tournament, earning the night’s highest base score of 45 points. It was a commanding victory and, under most systems of human competition, would have made him the obvious headline.
Unfortunately, Triple Stack night was no longer operating under a system of human competition. Chance won the building while Marcel found a loophole in the mortgage.
Chance is the Triple Stack 3 tournament winner. Marcel did not win the tournament. He merely left with more total points, which is somehow both different and much more annoying.
Bish Becomes Apex Predator for Approximately Eleven Minutes
Tim entered the night carrying the first-place bounty. Bish knocked him out and collected the tripled +15-point bounty, briefly becoming the most dangerous animal in the Wood. Witnesses report Bish had barely finished admiring the fresh points when the food chain updated itself.
Marcel Mugs Bish and Walks Out With 54
Marcel eliminated Bish, collected the +15 bounty, and finished with a night-leading 54 total points. Bish’s reign as apex predator ended so quickly that league historians have classified it as a weather event.
The sequence was brutally efficient: Bish took Tim’s bounty, Marcel took Bish, and the points moved uphill like stolen appliances in the back of a pickup. Chance still had the trophy-level achievement. Marcel had the largest number on the sheet.
Jose Quietly Clips Mondo and Climbs to 48
While everyone argued about whether Marcel had discovered poker arbitrage, Jose eliminated Mondo, pocketed another +15-point bounty, and finished with 48 total points. No speech. No parade. Just a clean hit, a major jump, and the calm departure of a man who knew the accountants would eventually find the body.

“Winning the actual tournament remains technically important, although bounty math has now rendered traditional poker achievement largely symbolic. Chance won. Marcel scored 54. Jose scored 48. These facts are compatible, and the Commission resents having to explain that.”
The Commission also renewed the only regulation anyone can understand without a calculator: DO NOT REHEAT PIZZA IN THE CARDBOARD BOX IN THE OVEN.
